Sammy Attwood

Refusing to conform to the daily grind, Sammy Attwood spent his teenage years in ways many can only imagine. In his attempt to avoid nine to five employment and in an effort to compliment his love for marketing, Sammy started up a simple blog in early 2008. In between tedious university lectures, he would write posts, email artists and do all in his power to make 'Fridgejet' a worthwhile watering hole for the thirsty and musically adequate punters around the world. Perhaps it was these peer interactions that spawned his love for DJ'ing and alternatively, the late night culture. Knowing well and truly he was one bedroom DJ in a sea of millions and that it was a similar case in the blogging world, he had his work cut out for him back then.

Fast forward to 2010 and its obvious his dreams came true. Juggling what is now easily one of Australia's premier underground music blogs, playing nationally under his popular DJ alias and throwing around promotional support for a swag of major events, seems Sammy Attwood nabbed his goal of escaping boring nine to five employment. Not too bad for a kid who hasn't even celebrated his 20th birthday...
